Touchten, a game developer from Indonesia is releasing another of its newest game, Infinite Sky which available for iOS and will be available for Android as well. This airplane shooting game is available for free for a length of time on App Store and will be on sale for USD1.99 starting June 2, 2012.
In Infinite Sky, you will act as a pilot who has to defeat your enemy by taking control on a plane and shoots bullets to take down them down including the “boss” who has stronger ability. Collect points and complete a mission to upgrade your plane and rank.
This 3D game has a simple game play, tilt controlling and tap on the screen to shoot and pause button to see the mission, provided endless mode will bring continuous enemy. There are 100 missions and 4 planes to choose from (one for the beginning) and social integration element with Facebook and Twitter.
Touchten is a game company which got investment from Ideosource. Besides releasing games for iOS, it released a game called TouchJam sometime ago. This musical game is a cooperation with music label to present songs from certain artists.
Anton Soeharyo, CEO of Touchten, said via an email that Touchten currently has 14 games, Infinite Sky is its 14th. This game is targeted for local and global market, focusing more on the global market. He also explained about the airplane dogfight genre that they chose, other than Anton who likes this genre, other reason is that he saw that there’s nothing like it in the market, so Touchten chose to develop this game.
This game was released on May 25, 2012. Since its release, Anton claimed to be satisfied with the result without any marketing effort. Currently, Infinite Sky is available and included in the #BecauseWeMay movement program. He also added that even without marketing effort, monetization readiness has been thought by Touchten.
Infinite Sky, by the time this article is written, has been downloaded more than 53.000 times. Anton mentioned that this game relies on word of mouth marketing in the process of its marketing, relying on the user who plays it as the army of marketers.
Infinite Sky is available for iOS – iPhone – iPod touch users at the App Store. The Android version will be released soon.
