Indonesian makers are trying so hard to show the world that hackathon isn’t all about software. Hence, the National Hardware Hackathon Competition, which is themed “Indonesia’s First Internet of Things Big Data Innovation Challenge” and would be held on March 7-8, 2015, was born.
Combining hardware and Internet of Things is the real deal. Who knows, the next Nest might be born during the event, which would be located at Crackerz Markerspace, MD Place Tower 2, Kuningan, Jakarta. The registration period would last from February 1, 2015 to March 6, 2015 for free.
The winners will be awarded cash, a pitching opportunity in Big Data Week 2015, being crowned as Innovator Ambassador Indonesia, getting invited to “Virtuos Innovation Ecosystem of Harware Makers”, and a privilege to join “Human Centered Design Thinking” workshop at MakeDoNia Innovation Hub at no cost at all.
MakeDoNia’s Co-Founder Imanzah Nurhidayat, the event’s host, revealed during his press release, “All this time, hackathon is all about software. This competition would be the pioneer of hardware innovation competition in Indonesia, with the output being expected to solve significant social challenges, phenomena, and problems. The best three will get cash as well as a pitching opportunity during the Big Data Week 2015.”
