This year’s SMW features around 70 speakers, local and international, including Twitter, Path, BuzzFeed, LinkedIn, Socialbakers, Kurio, and Kaskus. The event consists of two-day conference, five Master Classes, and more than 20 workshops. The very basic aim of the event is to increase the penetration of social media in people’s life through occupying insight and ideas.
The event is expected to be an annual event which educates the people of Jakarta and digital communities to collaborate for a prosperous Jakarta Smart City. Jakarta is also expected to be the benchmark for other cities in Southeast Asia, and levels with other big cities all over the world.
