Repeating the success of last year’s organization, DailySocial in cooperation with Saling Silang, Kaskus and Kummara, will hold another Social Media Festival for 2012. The festival will be he;d on October 19-21, 2012 at Gelanggang Renang Senayan.
When last year, Social Media Festival (SocMedFest) had “Social Media Is You” as the theme to celebrate the merriment of social media usage; now, SocMedFest encourages the creators behind social media to collaborate and be creative under the theme “Create and Collaborate”. Community that wishes to participate in this event must send their creative and collaboration idea with other community to SocMedFest to be selected.
Before the event, the community participant of SocMedFest 2012 will attend a briefing and pre-event activity for them to meet and communicate. SocMedFest team will hold gamification to encourage participants to collaborate with each other. The list of participants of SocMedFest 2012 has also been published in this page so it will be easier for communities to find their partner for collaboration.
Registered participants come from various communities such as book, culinary, film, travel, blog, photography, etc. The list is growing because the registration is still open. Communities who wish to participate can download the form here and send it back through email to [email protected].
Not only community, SocMedFest is also open for startup which wants to enliven the event. Just like the community, the startup is also encouraged to collaborate with other community/startup to hold an event in this festival. The hope is by holding an event inside SocMedFest, the startup will be able to attract many people to try on its product.
To participate in this event, the startup can fill in the form in this page. Because the number of participant is limited, SocMedFest will also select the startup to appear in this event.
Semi outdoor venue, the many participating communities, the various collaborations of communities; all of those gives off the hype of SocMedFest 2012. Don’t just be the audience but make your community participate in this festival. If you don’t belong to any community, make sure that you still come to this event to enjoy various segments: live music on stage by musician, artist and social media public figure, intercommunity sharing and collaboration, online game and quiz, community, media and brand meet up point, and award for social media activist.
