As a world class IT giant, it is logical to see Microsoft keeps innovating to keep its grip on the world’s market. The latest, this U.S-based titan partnered with the Board of Alumnus of Medical Faculty of the University of Indonesia (ILUNI FKUI), Acer, and VI System, to carry on a project called the MED+, which was officially launched yesterday (18/12).
“This partnership between Microsoft and ILUNI FKUI and VI System is a token of our commitment to level up the education and health condition in Indonesia, to enhance the quality of life through technology. This is in line with the vision of the new government, which is to promote the use of technology in every life aspect, including health and education,” Benny Kusuma, Microsoft Indonesia’s Education Lead, stated.
MED+ is an app which allows med students to learn about human’s anatomy, fisiology, and patology in 3D. Currently, the app only presents six basic modules, which are the cardiovascular (heart) system, digestion system, respiratory system, reproduction system, urinal system, and nervous system.
So far, MED+ is only available in trial mode, and may only be accessed through Windows 8.1 operating system, until undefined due date. After the trial period ends, users only have to pay a subscription which is embedded with Microsoft’s products, like Office 365 and One Drive, with an unlimited lifetime capacity.
