During the time, e-commerce services especially for gadgets is dominated by Bhinneka, the old player that has been up and down in the world of Indonesia dotcom. However, they finally get the new competitor namely JuraganGadget that is just launched in Jakarta several days ago.
As part of their promotion, JuraganGadget doesn’t charge shipping fee for Jakarta and its surrounding area. In addition, one of my favourite is the support of Paypal so I can use my credit card to shop without worrying about the security issue. Unfortunately when I tried to pay using Paypal, error is still appearing and finally I decided not to continue on purchasing.
Apart of Paypal, JuraganGadget has been already working with several vendors including Bank Mandiri, BCA, Mandiri Syariah, UOB Buana and also Doku. Beside e-commerce, JuraganGadget also provides forum and blog to discusses gadgets that offered at JuraganGadget.
Honestly, the strategic advantage of JuraganGadget when compared with Bhinneka isn’t a lot, but I think JuraganGadget can be a strong competitor for them. Bhinneka has an offline store that became their basic strength, but JuraganGadget seems to have an online marketing promotion strategies and it’s powerful enough.
JuraganGadget has the opportunity to steal the market from players others e-commerce player like Blibli, Plasa, Tokobagus and Rakuten which has a good record for selling gadget. Bhinneka seems not innovating and adding features, thus maybe it’s time to wake up and face the stiff competition 😉
