We have just received a rumor that Karir.com, an online job vacancy platform which was once the leading website in Indonesia, is on the verge of getting acquired by EMTEK media group (PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi). We have yet received further information nor confirmation from EMTEK in regard to this acquisition, but our trusted informant stated that the process has just been accomplished this week.

Karir.com has been operating ever since the first dotcom period in Indonesia in the end of the 90s. This Jakarta-based company has practically had nothing to inform for quite a while. The EMTEK group is a conglomeration group based in Indonesia. It is a holding company for companies like Lakupon, NexMedia, SCTV, Indosiar, and O Channel.

Despite the fact that Karir.com is one of the very first website that works on Human Resource and Recruitment, it has to admit the superiority of later similar websites which come from both inside and outside Indonesia, e.g JobsDB, Monster, Loker, and many more.

We will update you with further information regarding this acquisition as soon as we receive any info or confirmation from either Karir.com, EMTEK, or possibly both.
