Gojek and Garuda Indonesia is finalizing their partnership for logistics solution. To Reuters, Garuda’s CEO, Ari Ashkara said the team are expecting an agreement in the next few months.
In this scheme, consumers will be able to use Gojek’s app to send package across cities in Indonesia using Garuda’s baggage. It’ll make the inter-island delivery faster where Indonesia’s logistics still pursuing, through over 17 thousand islands. In addition, Lion Air as the competitor has started the initiative, involving marketplace platform, with Lion Parcel.
Gojek has just obtained the first part of Series F funding, it is said to drive the valuation to $ 9 billion (over 120 trillion rupiah). Garuda, as a public company, based on today’s shares closing, has “only” 12.74 trillion rupiah market capitalization.
