There are, definitely, a number of criteria appear when it comes to determining to what extent a company is regarded as an ideal one. Prior to this theory, Jobstreet conducted a survey involving 14.000 respondents, ranging from fresh graduates to managers from various industries, which uncovered that Google Indonesia was the only online-based tech company which got inducted into the most ideal five companies in Indonesia.
Based on the survey, among those criteria were the availability of benefits and allowances ( being stated by 35% of respondents), reputation of the company (27%), offered salary (18%), career prospect (12%), and self-development (8%).
Interestingly, Google surfaced as one of five most ideal companies in Indonesia according to the respondents. This strengthened the previous perception stating that Indonesians pay much more respect to tech companies. This might be a good sign that more and more tech companies will be regarded as ideal by the people in the, hopefully, near future.
“Giant companies add more value, and Google is highly professional,” told an unnamed Google Indonesia’s Senior Account Manager to Jobstreet.
Aside from Google, the other four ideal companies according to the people were Pertamina (oil and gas), Chevron Pacific Indonesia (oil and gas), Unilever Indonesia (FMGC), and Bank Mandiri (banking).
