New Galaxy family, whether smartphone or tablet, will be complemented with local application.
Cited from Kompas Tekno, Pambudi Baskara Sudirman, Apps Manager of Samsung Indonesia, said that currently, the process of the three applications to enter the Galaxy family is still waiting for the certification of internal Samsung. At least, there are 3 applications that will complement the device namely eReading by Scoop, Laguku and Lubitu.
eReading by Scoop is an e-reader made by Apps Foundry. Before, Apps Foundry has made a couple of applications such as Scoop for iPad and Indonesia Terkini for Playbook. Both Scoop and Indonesia Terkini are applications used for reading local and international magazines. Apps Foundry has worked with many publishers to fill the content on both applications.
Laguku is an application made by PT. Triyakom, also known as content provider and a joint venture of PT Trikomsel Multimedia, a handphone distributor company behind Okeshop. While Lubitu is a Video on Demand (VOD) application made by Digital Buana. This Lubitu application had previously available in Smart TV, also a product of Samsung.
Looking at the companies behind the 3 applications, both Samsung and the three companies are well prepared with legal content to support all three applications.
It is mentioned in said Kompas Tekno’s article that Samsung has set up a payment system for users to purchase content. The system is called SPoin (Samsung Poin).
