Namun ada kejutan dari Valve di awal tahun 2018. Di tengah-tengah momen Winter Sale ini, mereka mengumumkan informasi ‘The Best of 2017’. Isinya adalah daftar game dengan pemasukan terbesar, baik permainan-permainan baru, VR, serta judul-judul ‘lulusan’ program Steam Early Access terfavorit.
