This retired player is building a new esports organization based in Shanghai, China, called Ultra Fantastic Gaming (UFG).

Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao is one of, if not, the most prominent LoL professional players from China even though he never crowned the World Champion. This retired player is building a new esports organization based in Shanghai, China, called Ultra Fantastic Gaming (UFG).

A famous Chinese singer, Fan Chengcheng, also becomes a co-founder of UFG. Even though Wild Rift is not officially released in China, UFG is recruiting players for its Wild Rift division.

According to the official Weibo post, there are specific requirements for those who want to join the team. They should be proficient in League Mobile or Kings of Glory, at least 16 years old, having team awareness, and able to manage stress.

UFG also promises to provide a professional training environment and coaching for its players. The job also has a minimum salary of ¥6000 or about US$922.

It does make sense for Uzi to return to esports not as a player anymore. He retired in June 2020 because of his health concern. However, he already has more than enough experience and popularity in esports that’s too big to waste. He won three LPL (LoL professional league in China), one MSI, and two runner-ups in World Championship.

Speaking of Wild Rift in China, China’s National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) has officially approved the game in February. However, in other countries, Wild Rift has already been in closed and open betas months earlier. Southeast Asia, for example, started its closed beta in October 2020.
