Unlike any other online startup marketing method, Yahoo-Koprol decided to put up a TVC ad on national TV to help promote Koprol to Indonesia’s general audience. Last Monday, for the first time the TVC ad went on air resulting a rush of new user registration the day after. Satya Witoelar, Koprol’s Chief Creative told DailySocial that they got over 7000 new users within 1 day after the TVC ad went on air.
And it’s actually more than just adding new users, Witoelar also noted a record breaking activity streams (checkins and comments) on the location-based service as the result of the ad campaign. This is a major breakthrough for Koprol and its local services, especially with marketing cost covered by the Yahoo! guys 😉
The campaign itself is integrated between conventional media and also digital media, including TVC, print, and also online marketing on Google AdWords. And since this is only the beginning of the integrated campaign, expect more record breaking news from Koprol. As far as Indonesian’s concern, this is the first time for a former startup get to put ads on national tv, so it’s pretty historic.
Great news!
