PouchNATION today (6/26) announced the series B funding led by Traveloka with undisclosed value. SPH Ventures also involved in this round. The Singapore-based startup is developing digitization platform for various event, the leading product is NFC-based innovation for access.

And we are proud to support the team to develop their products, especially to have synergy with Traveloka’s main business, as to provide end-to-end solutions related to travel and lifestyle,” Traveloka Xperience’s VP of Revenue & Growth, Sylvia Gunawan.
She also said that this investment is a part of company’s strategy to tighten its position as the discovery platform. Recently, Traveloka has been strongly introducing Xperience, a new channel allowing users to discover various events in the cities and countries. Including to sell the tickets online.
“The company demand business growth, from just providing events and venues to an entertainment platform that connects dozens of people in Asia with e-commerce, brands, and other players searching for visibility and exposure to their target market,” PouchNATION’s CEO, Ilya Kravtsov said.
In its debut in 2014, PouchNATION was developing an NFC-based bracelet that allows visitors to make cashless transactions. Along the route, they evolve into an all-in-one platform for event organizing through some products, such as PunchEvent, PunchVenue, and to be introduced PouchDigital; consist of a registration system, ticketing, security control, brand activation, data collecting and management, etc.
“We are very excited to launch a new vertical for new client segments which currently using the traditional system to manage places and events. By digitizing and collecting more consumer data, our mission is to create a very new user acquisition channel in the region,” PouchNATION’s COO, David Rapaport said.
Currently, PouchNATION system has been handling various events worth $5 million monthly transactions on average. The product distribution has reached Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand market. In Indonesia, they’re operating under PT Easy Touch Group based in Jakarta.
