Tokopedia has launched Tokopedia Center, an experience center for many activities, including Tokopedia sellers community gathering and online business classes.
“We built Tokopedia Center to accelerate its mission for digital economic equality in Indonesia, through public digital literation improvement,” Nathaniel Pranama, Tokopedia Center’s Strategic Development, told DailySocial on Fri (9/14).
He defined Tokopedia Center as a place to make online-to-offline (O2O) transactions, bill payment & ticket booking, further information on how to use Tokopedia app, interactive shopping, and for online business inspiration. All visitors making transaction in Tokopedia Center will also get interesting promos.
It’s possible for Tokopedia Center to apply the pop-up store concept in the future. He thought Tokopedia will continue to explore and innovate in satisfying public’s demand.
In Tokopedia Center, many people with high-level of digital literacy are expected to move confidently using the internet in starting and developing business. It’s also easier to get your daily needs through an online marketplace.
Tokopedia Center will be launched in September 2018 in three cities, Boyolali, Palu, and Padang. Interesting fact, the concept was first initiated and executed by Nakama (Tokopedia employees’ nickname) from each city.
“Because Nakama comes from all over Indonesia, Tokopedia Center is expected to be developed all around it,” he concluded.
