Ericsson has just appointed a new President Director for Ericsson Indonesia. It is Thomas Jul, Ericsson’s Head of Customer Unit in Central Europe, who is delegated for the position. Jul, who was effective per December 2014, replaced Sam Saba who got promoted as Ericsson’s Head for Southeast Asia and Oceania.
Ericsson is highly enthusiast with the penetration of cellular in Indonesia which has reached a magnificent 100%. With the implementation of 4G which has started to mushroom in the country, it’s only time to have the positive trend going even further. That’s why Thomas Jul was selected to deal with future challenges , as he has already equipped himself with tons of valuable experience in the industry.
“I will keep building a strong partnership with our costumers in Indonesia, as well as keep our commitment to support the development of Indonesian telecommunication industry, especially when it comes to 4G,” Jul explained.
Having previously became the Head of Ericsson in Austria, the massive population that Indonesia is one of challenges that Jul must deal with. Ericsson has shown its commitment to work on the concept of smart city through a concept called “Networked Society”.
Yesterday (22/1), Thomas Jul represented Ericsson to present about the latest tech trend for future costumers, especially in Indoenesia. The annual Ericsson ConsumerLabs report showed that consumers crave for tech and connectivity to pretty much every aspect of their daily life.
The most prominent trend in 2015, according to Ericsson, would be the shift or people’s preference in watching video, with most of them would opt to stream videos better than watching them on TV. The next enormous trend would involve the “Internet of Things” and digital wallet concept. Thomas Jul commits to the implementation of those trends during his reign in Indonesia.
