The Ministry of Manpower launched the Indonesian Migrant Workers Information System (SIPMI) App. Apart from being an improvement form of the service and government protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), this app also provides an easy access for families to connect with each other.
This app, which currently available for Android and iOS platforms, has a main feature that allows users to get information easily and connect to each other with a chat feature. Both private or group talk.
The information includes the prospects and risks of becoming Indonesian migrant workers abroad, rights and obligations, skills, and procedures to work abroad legally. It includes the schedule and polling features.
SIPMI also provides a feature to stay connected with family. Start from sharing the current location to family members also financial review. In terms of emergency, PMI will inform you through a special feature to quickly connect you with colleagues or nearest people available.
“This is a community-based platform where the world related to migrant workers can directly integrated through a digital-based platform,” Hanif Dhakiri, Minister of Manpower explained.
