Google continues to hire the best to promote its products, including those who will be dealing with the Indonesian government when it comes to the country’s Internet policies. The Public Policy and Government Relations Division holds a key role in increasing the number of Internet users which directly expands Google’s market.
A key recruitment that was recently made by Google Indonesia was Shinto Nugroho as head of the division. Prior to joining Google, Nugroho was the assistant to Marie Elka Pangestu, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, since 2010.
Previously Nugroho worked at Citi, the World Bank, as well as the International Finance Corporation according to her LinkedIN profile. She obtained her law degrees through University of Indonesia, Columbia Law School, and London School of Economics and POlitical Science. She was listed as one of Asia 21 Young Leaders in 2012.
