The service for books lover, BukuQ, changed their appearance and logo. DailySocial wrote about this service last December, with the appearance that also have changed since this service was first developed, due to changes in technology used by BukuQ.
Display and services in the December article and the recent one are still in private beta stage, but this time the BukuQ display shows the better update, at least has the design elements that related to the world of books, giving the feel of a sufficient support by the facilities they provide.
In BukuQ services, like social networking, users can be friend with other users, but due to cater to book lovers, this service allows users to search books that have been found in the BukuQ database. If the book you are looking for is not found, the user can add books based on their interests, upload book cover pictures and add different information or detail of the book.
As an addition to the social element, users can also give comments and ratings on the existing book. On book collection page, users can also add the topic to start discussions with other readers who also liked the book. Users also can use features that provide facilities to share their interests with other users when getting the books they liked. In addition there are also facilities Facebook Connect that allows sharing process in BukuQ activity to Facebook.
The display now feels more books elements that support BukuQ function as social networking for book lovers. A kind of folded paper and post notes design to make comments and viewing facilities characterized the logo of the services provided.
I personally hope that this time is BukuQ’s display last change. Although it is still in its early stages (private beta), which gives an opportunity to find the most appropriate layout, but of course with the choice of a particular layout can help BukuQ to concentrate on other development stages, such as eliminating bugs or improving features and adding services for the facilities to be optimized, especially similar service as competitors such as Goodreads, has had its own community in Indonesia.
Some things can be improved from their site appearance is the standard facilities of a service, such as about page, FAQ and directions for the user to provide information on how to use the service BukuQ. Some bugs can also be improved, for example, when we open a particular book, choices add to read my list does not work, if a user wants to add an interesting book, then could be added from a search results by clicking the ‘+’ icon.
As I wrote the article about the previous BukuQ before, community approach can also be done by BukuQ, considering that now there are few local services that serve the segment of the book. It seems to be quite helpful for BukuQ in building community, by bringing other services to work together. For example, with NulisBuku.com, books data in NulisBuku also included in BukuQ. Books published / printed by NulisBuku could get promotion as well as reviews from other BukuQ users, while BukuQ get a database of books that could attract more users, at least the author whose book is on NulisBuku.
For those of you who want to try the service can go to BukuQ site and send an email to invite.me[at] bukuq.com. And let us know your comment.

I have noticed in the main it’s not something you can teach very well it seems to be inherent in some designers and not in others!
