Monitoring Our Children’s Activity with Kieeds

When I first got the information about Kieeds, I honestly excited by the theme raised. How can parents and schools collaborate to monitor the activities of our children everyday? Kieeds present as a bridge for the parents and the school to exchange information about what activities are carried out by our lovely kids in the school and the current activities in their school.

Although right now my daughter has not yet entered the school or pre-school, of course I’ve started to look around the school that would fit with my kids someday. Not just about the cost, the physical structure and the curriculum, but the convenience when communicating with principals, teachers and other school tools are important when I’m about to entrusted my aughter to her education.

Kieeds comes in the Alpha version this early April. There are two sides to “act” in the Kieeds social media site. First is us as parents and the second is the school as the learning institution. As parents, we can use Kieeds mobile applications to monitor the school calendar of events including private information about our sons and daughters’ assessment easily. The school itself can provide any information relating to teaching and learning activities, exam schedule, the schedule of extracurricular activities or personal information of each student.

Interesting, isn’t it? Currently Kieeds mobile application is already available for BlackBerry (at least OS version 4.6) and followed is for the Android and iOS platforms, where the parents can freely use it. For BlackBerry, use the default browser to point to the Kieeds Mobile page. Because it is still Alpha, so the user might still found some bugs in it. For early registration through mobile applications right now is still unable and must remain on its website.

Speaking about the concept of monetization, we have communicated with Iman Cinderamata as the founder and CEO of Kieeds Indonesia. He mentioned that the monetization plan will depends on advertising, both on the web or mobile. Later there will be a Promoted account for the school as part of the ad itself. Currently Kieeds parties have entered the 198 schools that can be claimed and used. The amount is certainly still incomplete. If there are other schools who wish to use this service, there is also a Suggestion feature to invite the school.

In addition to Iman, Kieeds also guarded by Reza Sapta Utama as a strategic partner for business development and Albasys.net to handle the technical side of the server. If you agree with the positive development of services like this can directly test this system and provide input or feedback. What becomes the main concern is to handle sensitive information such as the child does so it would not spread widely because it should cater to the private sphere. Hopefully, this service can be utilized optimally, either by the parents and the school administrators.
