Mellanox Technologies Offers Platform Networking Solution for B2B Players

InifiniBand and ethernet service provider Mellanox Technologies officially enters Indonesia. It appoints PT Transition Systems Indonesia as its official partnering distributor which will handle the company’s marketing of IT solutions.

Mellanox Technologies’ Channel Sales Director for Southeast Asia, India, and ANZ Terence Teo voiced his optimism towards the potential market that Indonesia possesses yesterday (2/9) during the press conference.

“The increase of device adoption increases the demand for apps as well, until the big data comes. Although the infrastructure finally catches up, the interconnection of data distrubution will keep on going up,” Teo said.

He analogized his solution as a supercar which becomes a waste when being run on narrow and rough road. By this, he refers to the segment’s highest throughput and lowest latency that Mellanox offers, thus an efficient data center can be ensured, which will result on the improvement in system performance and data transfer capability.

Mellanox’s products include adapter, switches, software, and silicon which could accommodate the operation of apps as well as optimize the profit of various markets, including high performance computation, entreprise data center, web, cloud, storage, and financial services.

“In general, our potential market includes people who want to utilize platform-as-a-service or cloud-as-a-service. Our current focus is to target players of telecommunication and banking industries as well as governmental bodies,” he continued.

Transition Systems Indonesia’s Country Manager Rudy Manurung added that he thinks it’s the best time for Mellanox to enter Indonesia, given Indonesia’s IT ecosystem is currently on the right track.

“What Mellanox offers doesn’t only lead Indonesia to the latest trend, but also bring its technology one step ahead,” Manurung said.

Transition Systems Indonesia will be a pure distributor that operates as the direct representative of Mellanox in Indonesia. The team will handle every Mellanox’s pre and post-sales activity.

“As Terence said, our solution can be utilized by various industry that upholds the concept of business intelligence, smartcar, healthcare, Internet of Things, and many others,” Manurung ended.
