Property marketplace Lamudi announced that it has already had 500 thousands properties listed since the company was firstly established in last October. Lamudi is now available in 28 countries across Asia, Middle East, South America, and Africa, including its last April– established branch in Indonesia.
This growth is arguably very fast, considering that it has doubled the number of its registered properties in only three months, since in April Lamudi claimed to have 250 thousand listed properties. For the Indonesian market, Lamudi is aggressively aiming to register 200 thousand properties in only six months to allow it to become one of the top companies in its field.
Kian Moini, co-founder and Managing Director of Lamudi Global, stated in his press release, “The pace of our growth just shows how strongly people are responding to Lamudi. We have seen incredible demand for our service in each of our markets, including those where high-quality online property listings are a relatively new phenomenon.”
In the past few months, Lamudi has expanded rapidly by launching in seven countries, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Madagascar, Mauritius and Zimbabwe. This business expansion was supported by a $7 million investment from Tengelmann Ventures.
Among the countries in which Lamudi operates, it claimed that its business in the Philippines has become the number one real estate website with the most traffic in that country. As for Indonesia, it now has two offices, one in Jakarta and one in Surabaya which runs as a hub for the eastern part of the country.
At the moment, Lamudi is focusing on increasing the number of properties and partnering with developers and marketing agents. Within the next year, if its customers are satisfied with the services it offers, Lamudi plans to implement subscription as its revenue source in addition to having banner ads on its site as well.
To support its aggressive expansion and attract even more customers, Lamudi launched an Android app earlier this month.
