Kaskus Chief Marketing Resigns, Focuses on His New Company

1 min read
September 13, 2011

We recently learned that Danny Wirianto, the Chief Marketing for online forum Kaskus has officially resigned from the company to focus on his latest project Mindtalk.com. And surprisingly, the official date for his resignation was July 15th 2011, so I guess he hasn’t publicly announce the news to us until today.

Danny joined Kaskus over 3 years ago and apparently has been going very-very well in terms of traffic and also revenue. It is not clear why Danny decided to leave the company he nurtured, but his latest passion is in his newly founded social platform Mindtalk.

It is also unclear about who will take over the marketing post in Kaskus, but after their funding round lead by GDP Ventures in March, it shouldn’t be hard for them to immediately fill the post. Kaskus is currently on hiring spree as well, constantly adding talents to their engineering and sales team.

Disclosure :

Danny Wirianto is one of the partners at Merah Putih Inc which incubates DailySocial. Which sucks because apparently they’re doing a good job keeping us in the dark about this news for almost 2 months.
