Job2GO Secures Seed Funding from an Angel Investor Network BANSEA

The HR-tech (human resources technology)startup Job2GO announced the seed funding from BANSEA angel investor network. The value is not revealed.  The funding is to focus on the improvement of technology products and user acquisition.

BANSEA (The Business Angel Network of Southeast Asia), established in 2001, currently supports thousands of entrepreneurs in the region through a network of investors from individuals and companies they own. They participated in several startup funding such as Carousell, Carro, Xfers, 99.co, and others.

“We’re quickly adjust to the challenges and opportunities and study similar companies in developed countries like India. We are confident that Job2GO will present the right solution for the Indonesian and Southeast Asian markets. The new normal post-Covid-19 will present a golden opportunity for our solutions,” Job2GO’s Founder & CEO Kurniawan Santoso said.

Meanwhile, BANSEA Chairman James Tan said, “BANSEA is here to continuously connect startups like Job2Go with angel investors. This investment is one of BANSEA’s ways to supports the startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia and we look forward to playing our role in the startup ecosystem. ”

Job2GO business growth

Kurniawan also said to DailySocial, the Job2GO application reached 15 thousand users, with 500 companies offering various vacancies.

As general information, Job2Go has the vision to help blue collar workers and gig workers; offers various types of jobs from salesforce, merchandising, SPG, marketing staff, administrative staff, and others.

In terms of products, the Job2Go application is equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to get a match between supply and demand for work. It also provides information on on-demand job vacancies and other jobs available in locations near job seekers.

“In 2020, Job2GO focuses on providing the best experience for users (job seekers and employment seekers) by enhancing platforms and features. In addition, we also tighten cooperation with the employment ecosystem such as the Pre-Work Card to channel workers after receiving training,” he added.

Job2GO is targeting the low-medium skill workers, among those who are quite affected by this pandemic. In response to this, Kurniawan said, “They are workers who are the economy’s backbone, affected in Q1 2020 yet to be believed rebounding as soon when companies return to operating under new normal.”

In Indonesia, there are also several other startups besides Job2GO that offer similar services. There are Workmate (formerly Helpster), Heikaku, and others.
