Indonesia Next App 2.0 is back to encourage young local developers in Indonesia to expand their creativity and market their products to more than 550 million cellular users in 25 countries where SingTel Group and Samsung operate. These are important information we’d like to share.

The competition will be held in two phases. The first one would be local phase (form June to September 2015), in which local operators in six countries will hold a local competition to find two most promising teams. In Indonesia, Telkomsel will have the privilege to do so.

These two teams will then continue to the regional phase (October to December 2015). The phase consists of two activities: inviting the local champions to join a mentoring program in Singapore and doing a presentation in the regional competition in Jakarta on December 8, 2015.

Samsung and Telkomsel invite developers to create apps based on this year’s main points, which are:

  1. Lifestyle: helping individuals in their everyday lives – it can be social, fun or be about productivity
  2. On-Demand Economy: connecting supply to demand, enabling individuals to buy and sell goods and services on the go
  3. Smart Living: enabling people to live better through connecting devices and sensors in the homes
  4. Health: improving consumers’ health, while leveraging Samsung’s Digital Health Platform

Telkomsel and Samsung chose those four main topics to find startups with limitless potential to grow while preparing their products to face the regional phase.

The organizing team prepare plenty of prizes for the winners, including $20,000 in total value, the opportunity to get SingTel Group’s support while doing the promotion, the chance to access more than 550 million users in 25 countries where Telkomsel and Samsung operate, and the placement of heir products at Samsung’s platform content and service.

This competition is fully organized by Samsung and SingTel Group, which consists of SingTel (Singapore), Optus (Australia), AIS (Thailand), Airtel (South Asia and Africa), Globe (The Philippines), and Telkomsel (Indonesia).

So what are you waiting for? It’s time for local developers to show their creativity to be the next Indonesia Next App.
