The new Intel Indonesia’s Country Manager, Harry K. Nugraha, assured the public that he is more than ready to take the baton from Santosh Viswanathan (the current Technical Advisor to GM, Japan and Asia Pacific) and captain Intel Indonesia into its glory.

Nugraha has been starting his career in the company since 2011. He started off as a staff of the Strategic Business Development in telco, entreprise, embedded solution, software and app division and ended up as the Channel Sales Director before finally got appointed as the Country Manager. He is now responsible for the whole operational activities as well as the company’s business growth in Indonesia.

Nugraha admitted that Indonesia is more than a market to Intel. He said, “For the past sixteen years, Intel has done a wonderful job in Indonesia and keeps showing the sign for further development. We invest significantly in IT-based education, promoting young innovators and local developers, and being a solution integrator. At the moment, Intel is commiting and focusing to encourage local innovations through ICT.”

There are tons of works await. Despite being nearly unparalelled in microprocessor market, the company has to catch up with other producers who adopt the ARM processor architecture design in the mobile market. According to The Verge, Herman Eul’s Intel mobile chip business had $1,04 billion loss. In contrast, the PC chip business enjoyed $9,19 billion. In response to this condition, Intel has globally planned to combine their PC and mobile businesses in order to level up the company’s penetration in the mobile market.

“Intel believes that better quality of computation technology means better life for every single human being on earth. Thus, by making use of our various technology innovation, like cloud solution, server, personal computer, notebook, tablet, smartphone, and even the Internet of Things, we are highly sure that we can lead the innovation in this country,” Nugraha optimistically stated.

He will also focus and widen Intel’s partnership with the government and businessmen in ICT to accelerate the adoption of Intel technology in Indonesia, not to mention maximizing the local market potential. At the moment, Indonesia is still catching up for the full implementation of e-government and equal distribution of internet network through the RPI program.
