Google (10/4) held Google Cloud Summit Indonesia 2018. It was attended by some speakers from startups and corporates implementing Google Cloud. An exciting news being announced is Google Cloud Region Indonesia will be available in the next few months.
Google Cloud Region Indonesia will be the eight in the Asia Pacific after Mumbai, Singapore, Taiwan, Sydney, and Tokyo. Indonesia’s Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers would likely to gain benefits, such as low latency and high performance in the implementation.
“Google Cloud is committed to serving GCP’s customers in Indonesia and participated quickly in the digital economy,” Rick Harashman, Google Cloud Asia Pacific’s Managing Director, explained.
In the presentation, he said GCP is to make a long-term investment in developing the necessary infrastructure to support GCP business in Indonesia. It’s inseparable from Indonesian customers’ demand for GCP to make technical innovation in Indonesia.
“By expanding to the new areas, we provide higher performance for customers. Our customers have been demanding for the technical innovations in Indonesia and we’re thrilled to make it happen,” he added.
Tim Synan, Head of Google Cloud Southeast Asia, said in the release, “We introduce the power of Google Cloud to any business scale in Indonesia and support them to provide certain solutions through various platforms and devices.”
Google also introduced some advanced features of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning attached in its G-Suite. It includes the easier data processing by chat, Google Docs which integrates with translation engine, and the smarter image search in Google Slide.
