DBS and Go-Jek, today (11/12) announced a strategic partnership to support Go-Jek payment services in Singapore. Later, this partnership will reach other countries in Southeast Asia by presenting payment service innovation.
In the coming weeks, Go-Jek is to launch the ride-hailing app’s beta version in Singapore. In this partnership, DBS customers in Singapore will gain opportunities and special offers.
“We partnered up with companies having similar vision like Go-Jek to build the inclusive digital ecosystem for our customers,” Tan Su Shan, DBS’ Group Head of Consumer Banking, said.
He said that DBS Singapore has been distributed more than four million active debit/credit card for the public. They’ve also launched a digital wallet app called DBS PayLah! for customer’s non-cash payment.
Moreover, Andre Soelistyo, Go-Jek’s President, said this partnership is a proper step of the company. It is expected to gain customer’s enthusiasm, particularly those using DBS.
“We are looking forward to launching a beta version of our service in the coming weeks. We’ve received positive responses from the driver community since we opened up pre-registration. We believe through this partnership with DBS, there will be similar responses from consumers,” he said.
