Go-Jek releases in-app chat feature to provide easier communication between user and driver. This move is actually kind of late, compare to the other similar
players such as Grab and Uber which already applied this feature earlier.
This feature will be available on rolling basis for Go-Jek users after updating
the latest version of their Go-Jek’s app. By in-app chat, users do not have to
exit the app to send message or make a call to communicate with the driver.

Up to this point, Go-Jek has not officially announced its latest feature. However, in-app chat is to be said the most awaited feature in Go-Jek. A problem encountered by Go-Jek users resulting a lot of complaints is the use of balance
to text or call the driver.
On the other hand, in-app chat can be Go-Jek’s weapon in strengthening its
service to all loyal users and attracting new users. So far, Go-Jek has served 15 million weekly active users with 900 thousand drivers throughout Indonesia, more than 125 thousand merchants and more than 100 thousand transaction to be processed monthly in the platform.
