AR and Co., an augmented reality technology provider company, will be holding a series of event related to augmented reality. The event, called Augmented Reality and Technology Xperience (ARTX) 2012, includes exhibition, seminars and application development competition. ARTX 2012 will be held at Kampus Anggrek, Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta on June 15 – 16, 2012.

ARTX 2012 will be open for public with a target up to 1.000 visitors. Some AR players from Asian countries will join in the exhibition such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Visitors will not only get a chance to watch AR technology demonstration but also can interact with the technology architect and build a network with players in this industry.
ARTX’s seminar will be free of charge. The committee limits participants up to 600 people only. 200 first applicants can register online on this page. In this seminar, participants will receive materials about AR, among them is the effect of AR technology’s advance to everyday activities, business models and latest innovation of AR technology.
In addition to exhibiton and seminar, ARTX 2012 will also feature application competition for high school/vocational school students. The competition, organized in two categories namely mobile category and PC/laptop category, lets the participants to choose a theme to develop the application in accordance with the participant’s creative ideas.

The organizer believes that AR technology, in the next 10 years, will change the way we interact with information, data, education and entertainment as well how we interact with each other and with the outside world. With that belief, it seems interesting to come and see how far the AR technology has and will evolve.
