A joint venture e-commerce of Telkom Indonesia with eBay, Blanja, partners with LinkAja as its default e-wallet platform. LinkAja is a joint venture of some payment solutions of State-owned Enterprises. They currently has 25 million users by April 2019.
The decision was taken after Tokopedia (Ovo) and Bukalapak (Dana) using third party as payment service with e-money license from Bank Indonesia.
This year, Blanja is getting their traffic increased by focusing on organic business growth, in the form of posters and information that contains QR Code, to raise the download rate.
Blanja succeed in increasing their traffic last year to 43%. By the end of this year, it was expected to rise up to 50% in all platforms.
Adding up sellers and products
Aside from the relation to community, SMEs, and related parties, Blanja took advantage of Telkom Group ecosystem to offer their digital products. It includes IndiHome and Wifi.id.
“In the future, we’re planning to provide registration and payment for smart home products in Telkom Group ecosystem,” Confido said.
Customers who did shopping have opportunity to get some rewards by exchanging Koin Blanja as virtual coins.
In a conversation about Blanja active users, Jemy avoid to mention further details. In total, Blanja has 50 thousand brand and non brand sellers.
“Using a huge source from eBay, we give options to the buyers to get various products from Blanja’s specific merchants, and special products from eBay,” he added.
