The number of people connected to the internet and savvy market has caught the interest of Astra Group in the digital industry. They just launched three new services, Seva.id, CariParkir, and Sejalan. All are related to transportation segment.
Seva.id is a digital platform that allows users to buy a new car, used car, or property assets, such as apartment and real estate.
It allows users, to order vehicles, make an exchange, submit a test-drive for the desired car, calculate monthly installments with a credit calculator, and schedule a service.
Another digital service launched by Astra is CariParkir. It’s available on the Android platform and designed to make it easier for users to find the nearest parking area. There are two main features. First, providing information includes prices, time, address, and the current parking facilities.
Second, the ability to book the parking lot using CariParkir partners, to be used by both four and two-wheeler vehicles.
The third service is Sejalan. It is a platform for sharing that allows users (called Kapten Sejalan) to share the empty seat on their vehicles with other users (called Teman Sejalan). This app is available for iOS and Android.
Djap Tet Fa, Chief of Astra Digital, said the steps they took were aimed at the demand of Indonesian people dominated by millennial.
“By creating a strong digital platform, Astra Digital presents the innovative, relevant, and customer-oriented solutions,” he explained.
The three latest services aren’t really the new concept but the execution will determine whether these services are sustainable or not.
This year, Astra Group has been involved in several digital innovations in Indonesia, such as launching a chatbot for insurance services and founding AWDA fintech lending service with WeLab. In February, Astra also raised around Rp2 trillion funding for Go-Jek.
