Imajin Develops “3D Marketplace” Online Platform

Imajin aims to help people to make their own 3D products

Imajin, a company engaged in B2B manufacturing (business to business), decided to develop Imajin.id online platform. It has a marketplace concept that connects some requirements in the 3D field.

Imajin will be a portal for 3D designers to show their artwork for share or sale. When the design continue to the production, Imajin team will facilitate due to partnership with 3D Printing vendor.

Imajin has a vision to develop the manufacturing world into the B2C (business to customer) sector by introducing 3D printing technology. This company founded by three people, Chendy Jaya, Joselin Olivia, and Stefanus Hodir.

Imajin has been operating more than 4 years in manufacturing sector B2B, but started to enter B2C in early 2018, making Imajin.id online platform. We’ve been operating in Jabodetabek, Bandung, and Surabaya,” Jaya said.

He also explained that Imajin marketplace was created to help anyone produce their dream products. He gave an example, if anyone has the desire to create a different phone case from others, Imajin can help, from the design to the large production. Imajin expertise should be useful for broaden network of customers.

In his observation, the current 3D technology is very common in the manufacturing world, starts from 3D design, 3D Scanning, Reverse Engineering, 3D Printing, CNC Manufacture, to the 3D Metal. To date, Imajin has made some products using 3D design, from automotive, furniture, souvenir to accessories. The methods are different according to user demand.

Regarding features on Imajin marketplace, users can directly view the 3D product models or design through 3D view. In order to produce 3D printing, users can directly upload designs, choose materials, and get the price. The 3D view feature is expected to provide a different experience that is not found in any other marketplace.

To date, Imajin has nearly 1000 users with 145 3D designers, five 3D printing partners, and 17 CNC machine partners. This year, the company plans for several innovations, including to open the Imajin center as the first 3D Printing Experience Center in Indonesia, to be located in BSD, and trying to make further penetration to B2C segment and education.
