TechCrunch reported that Spotify is on the course of expanding to Indonesia and Japan, two countries with the most digital population in Asia. According to TechCrunch’s informant, the service will first enter Indonesia, then Japan afterward.
Spotify may be regarded as the last generation of global music streaming fleet in Indonesia, as services like Apple Music, Deezer, Rdio, and Guvera have come earlier to the country. In the (very) near future, a Chinese-based music streaming platform would also be on its way as well.
