Softbank Acquired Trikomsel’s Shares

Japanese giant SoftBank Grup has officially acquired PT. Trikomsel Oke (TRIO)’s shares, one of biggest handphone distributors in Indonesia. Trikomsel’s CEO Sugiono Wiyono claimed that the acquisition was completed on March 27, 2015 and that Softbank Grup currently owns 19,9% of the total shares that Trikomsel issued.

The major holder remains Polaris Ltd., a Singapore-based company whose most of shares are also owned by Sugiono, who covers 44,88% of the total shares.

SoftBank Grup bought the shares through its subsidiaries, which are Chateau Montague Pte Ltd., Red Enterprise Holdings Ltd., and Sommerset Palace Holdings Ltd.
