Wantedly is the biggest professional hiring platform from Japan. Its service has been connecting companies and professionals through a social media concept since February 2011. Based on a press release we received today (6/3), Wantedly will make Indonesia into one of markets it explores while expanding to countries outside Japan.
The platform claimed that it has had around seven thosand companies and 600 thousand registered users so far. Given that fact, it’s logical to have them expecting to get more from other parts of the world, and that actually is the core Wantedly’s business resolution for 2015. The team is going to open representative offices all over Southeast Asia and make the plan as the very first step of its international expansion.
Basically, Wantedly is not your plain platform. Users don’t look for jobs based on the offered salary or allowances, but based on the company’s ideas, focused attention, and team. This is to ensure that the job seekers get the job they’ve been dreaming of.
The team behind Wantedly picked Indonesia as their first choice of international expansion. The decision was based on the fact that many Indonesians jump from one company to another over and over again merely for the sake of better salary, while it actually doesn’t guarantee that their passion and convenience get accommodated. Hence, Wantedly offers a deeper personal opinion from each user towards companies that fit their vision and mission.
With “Let’s connect people all over the world with their dream job” as its motto, Wantedly is about to start its step by launching an Android-based mobile app in Indonesia, and do the same in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, U.S, Great Britain, and Hong Kong.
After the launching of its Android mobile app in both English and Bahasa, Wantedly is ready to take another step by launching its service in many other languages in order to net more users.
