After got acquired by iProperty mid 2011, online property company Rumah123 officially announces the mobile web version of their marketplace service. According to a press release sent to DailySocial, iProperty CEO Shaun Di Gregorio said that this strategy is in line with the fast growth of mobile consumption in markets like Indonesia.
For the record, Rumah123 already have their official app for the iPhone and Android devices although most of them aren’t optimised for native experience. “The new upgrade to the mobile site will see consumers having a better search experience as several enhancements have been made to the site”, said Di Gregorio in an official statement.
“Currently we have over 53% of our visitors that uses their mobile devices to visit our website with different mobile platforms. With the new mobile site, we now offers two experiences: m.rumah123.com and lite.rumah123.com, that can be easily accessed via Android, iPhone or Blackberry browsers,” Di Gregorio added.
Di Gregorio concludes, “Mobile is a crucial part of our bigger strategy, and the numbers speak for themselves in terms of how mobile access to the information in our website is important for our consumers. The new mobile site, along with a number of other mobile products in the pipeline, demonstrates our commitment to the growing mobile market”.
Rumah123.com is based in Jakarta used backed by Saratoga Group owned by Indonesian billionaire entrepreneur Sandiaga Uno. Australia-based IPGA ltd has agreed to pay AU$ 1 million or around US$ 1,6 million in cash and 7 million shares in IPGA Ltd to acquire Rumah123 in May 2011.
